We are a team of students from the University of Sheffield. Every year, we design and manufacture an ultra-efficient solar powered car to compete in the Solar Challenges across the world.
Sheffield Eco Motorsport
Our History
Founded in 2015, over the last decade Sheffield Eco Motor sport have been hard at work designing and manufacturing highly efficient racing vehicles. With a change of competition in 2024 we are now developing our first solar car with a goal to compete in 2026.

Based at the University of Sheffield, our team of 40 students represents a diverse mix of studies and backgrounds. We are brought together by shared values of innovation, ambition, and motivation, all of which are essential to achieving our goals.
